The exhibition, which will open in the last quarter of 2023, is curated by the historian Mario Crespo, author of the publication “El hereke” published by the Cátedra label and a critical study with a triple philosophical, historical and geographical aspect. original collections from various files.

With the exception of The Shadow of the Cypress is Long, the first novel, the foundation preserves all the manuscripts, which are easily damaged due to the acidic composition of the paper Delibes used, Zamácola explained at the press conference where he presented. These include a digital edition of a glossary of terms, expressions, words and expressions from the novels, essays and articles related to peasant speech, topography, flora, fauna and hunting jargon, among others.

Another planned activity is a short two-to-three minute reading of fragments of the works of Miguel Delibes that you can skip, starting on October 5 on Radio Televisión Castilla y León’s channel La 8 Valladolid. In the main roles are representatives of institutions, from the cultural field and citizens.

“We want to show that we are all readers of Delibes,” while promoting the reading and knowledge of his works and “showing his connection with all sectors of society,” he specified.

The motto of this initiative “Voices of Delibes” initially consists of 45 videos that will circulate for about a year and a half.

On October 17, the writer’s birthday, Molledo (Cantabria), the birthplace of “El camino”, the project of “shared memories” will begin, during which there will be eight intergenerational meetings between adults and adolescents to exchange knowledge.
